Bareilly: Students of the University Cultural Centre of Mahatma Jyotiba Phule Rohilkhand University, Bareilly, secured all four prizes won by the university’s nominated participants in inter-collegiate speech and thought-writing competitions organised on the occasion of National Hindi Day.
The competitions were organised by the Education Committee and Literacy Club of Khandelwal College of Management and Technology, Bareilly, on September 18. Four students nominated by the University Cultural Centre participated in the events and delivered an impressive performance.
In the speech competition, Lavi Singh secured first place, while Abhay Singh won third place. In the thought-writing competition, Shraddha Sharma secured second place and Sunaina Saxena finished third.
The speech competition was based on the theme ‘Hindi on the International Platform: Challenges and Solutions’. Participants in the thought-writing competition were required to present an effective and creative thought on a topic of their choice.
Vice-Chancellor Prof. Anil Kumar Rai congratulated the winning students and said their continued achievements in cultural activities were strengthening the university’s rich cultural tradition. He also praised the University Cultural Centre for providing students with opportunities to develop their talents, skills and abilities.
Cultural Centre Coordinator Dr. Jyoti Pandey said all four nominated participants performed exceptionally well, demonstrating creativity, communication skills, original thinking and a strong understanding of their subjects.
Registrar Mahendra Kumar Singh, Dr. Inderpreet Kaur, Dr. Reena Pant, Tapan Verma, members of the Cultural Club, teachers, officials, employees and students also congratulated the winners.
